Lovely Lavender

Last weekend was our anniversary (6 years) and we went on a little weekend getaway to one of the neighbor islands, Maui. It was our first time there so we decided to explore the island and enjoy the beauty of Maui.
After picking up a rental car and lunch at Whole Foods (amazing, by the way!!) we started our weekend adventure in Maui.We drove the beautiful but crazy road to Hana, admired the gorgeous views in Lahaina and checked out the surf break Honolua Bay. Maui sure has many amazing places but my favorite was our visit to the Lavender Farm. We went on a guided tour of the farm and learned about the different kinds of lavender and their uses. I was in heaven, not only because I love flowers but also because I recently have started to learn about and use Lavender oil and other essential oil. (more about that another day...) So it was very interesting and fun. After the guided tour we had a cup of lavender coffee (surprisingly good) and lavender scones with lavender and lilikoi jam, delicious!

I love using Lavender oil for all kinds of things but one thing that has been amazing is that my husband can sleep better. He have had trouble sleeping for years and tried everything, now he is able to sleep better, just with a little lavender oil behind his ears and DoTerra deep blue oil under his feet.

Easy bread

Aloha!
 It's about time I write something here...haha!
Well, I was baking bread today and it is so yummy I decided to share the recipe with you all!
It is super easy to make and does not require and time to rise.

9 dl flour
7 dl wheat bran
3 tbsp baking soda
1 1/2 dl raisins
1/2 dl sugar
7 dl buttermilk
1 dl molasses

1. Mix all the dry ingredients.
2. Add buttermilk and molasses.
3. Mix it all and pour the dough into bread pans. (Make sure you spray the pans with butter or oil first)
4. Put the pans in the preheated oven, 300 F, for about 1 hour.

Enjoy a slice of your fresh made bread  with some butter and good cheese!
